The theater costume designer talent sure shines whenever it gets the chance! I think the most I contributed to this was a bunch of complaining about glitter tulle, lol! Oh, actually, I remember helping pick out just the right bat symbol. I like to say Halloween is an adult holiday but I love how much joy this costume process brings to the kids and my wife!

Have I mentioned how much I love making costumes?! And doing amazingly fun makeup?? It’s gotta be the theatre geek in me that just won’t let go. But in any case, this year I had a Batman costume and Sally (from Nightmare Before Christmas) to make. Both got new custom tutus. (PLEASE remind me to NEVER AGAIN use glitter tulle. Ever. Under any circumstances.) I used heat transfer vinyl on Aisling’s Batshirt and painted on a pretty sweet bat-mask. For Arabella’s Sally, I used fabric paint to create her shirt, we colored her hair magenta, and I went all out on her makeup — SO MUCH FUN, you guys.
