That wall almost got knocked out. Glad it didn’t because I wouldn’t have made these cool shelves. Basically, what you can see is a box with no back. There’s a 2×4 frame that is anchored into the wall. Then, the box slides right over the frame. Easy! The wife is good with colors so having open shelving with pretty stuff on is easy too!

We have a TINY KITCHEN. With very little storage. When we combined our households, we found very quickly that there was just not enough room. So, we did what we do best — we got creative. My husband built these incredible floating shelves that are super heavy-duty so I can stack all the heavy plates and bowls and things. I added a wash of gray over them once he built them. They’re so beautiful, and I love the open air feeling the shelves give the kitchen versus adding more bulky cabinets!
