Our Bronco’s fan has a loft style bed with the desk area underneath. In an effort to provide some privacy — well, let’s be honest here, it’s to hide the mess — we fashioned up this curtain. The bed frame is metal so the obvious answer is magnets. Full disclosure, I was trying to think of some fancy way to fasten a curtain rod to it all and Brianna was just like, “I was thinking magnets, DUH!” (I added the DUH part there.) So my multi talented wifey used her sweet sewing skills to encapsulate a handful of magnets and it all works beautifully!

I’ve never tried to sew magnets into anything on this scale before, and it was pretty comical. I hemmed the curtains first, then stitched pockets to slide magnets into. I inserted the magnets, and then hemmed them in. It was certainly tricky with the magnets trying to stick to each other, and my sewing machine, and anything else in a five foot radius, ha! But I loved the way it turned out! Simple but effective, easy to adjust or move when he needs to, and most importantly? He loves it!
