I’m on this kick of making various tabletop things. I saw a few designs of these and had to make one. Somewhere along the way I learned that this is called a “valet”. I spent a good ten minutes talking to the family about how ridiculous of a word that is for this glorified phone stand. Despite that, I really enjoy making them. This particular one is made from cherry and finished with avocado oil — it’s a beautiful pairing.

The things I have to argue about with this man of mine…when I told him it was called a valet, he went off about how dumb that was. I, my love, did not name it. And it kinda makes sense; it holds your valuables for you. So, yeah. These really are gorgeous, though, and so practical for keeping random pocket-things from scattering across the counter. I love anything that can organize what otherwise becomes clutter!
